What is a Deep Laser Peel?

A Deep Laser Peel uses laser energy to resurface beyond the very top layer, reaching the depth where wrinkles and accumulated damage live. By removing damaged tissue and triggering a strong healing and collagen response, it remodels the skin from within. The trade for that deeper correction is more recovery than a light peel, which is exactly why a consultation comes first.

What a Deep Laser Peel treats

  • Deep-set wrinkles and pronounced fine lines
  • Significant sun damage and weathered, leathery texture
  • Loss of firmness and crepey, lax skin
  • Rough, uneven texture that lighter treatments have not resolved

Is a Deep Laser Peel right for you?

Because it is our most intensive laser, it is best suited to guests ready for a real correction and prepared for a short recovery period. It is not the right starting point for everyone, and certain skin types and situations need a gentler approach. Your consultation is where we assess your skin honestly and confirm whether the Deep Laser Peel, a lighter laser, or a regenerative treatment is the smartest path.

Recovery and downtime

This is our most intensive resurfacing, so plan for real recovery. The downtime is the remodeling at work:

  • Days 1 to 3: expect redness, warmth, swelling, and a tight, sunburned feeling. The skin may weep slightly and look intensely flushed.
  • Days 3 to 7: skin darkens, then begins to peel and flake noticeably as the damaged surface sheds and new skin emerges. Do not pick or peel manually.
  • Keep the skin moist with the recovery products we provide, avoid all sun, and pause makeup until we advise it is safe (usually several days).
  • Strict daily medical-grade sunscreen is non-negotiable for weeks afterward to protect the new skin.
  • Plan a few days away from events and consider treating before a quieter stretch. Most guests look presentable within about a week, with redness continuing to fade over the following weeks.

Treatments That Pair Well

Home Care Tip: Use medical-grade SPF every day without exception, a barrier-repair moisturizer, and the gentle recovery products we recommend post-treatment, from our Vivier and Dermalogica range.

Ask your aesthetician which product they recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Grace Hill, a Deep Laser Peel is $950 per 60-minute session. Your consultation confirms candidacy and the full plan before you book the treatment itself.

Plan for about 5 to 7 days of visible recovery: redness, swelling, and peeling as your skin remodels, with residual pinkness fading over the following weeks. We give you a clear timeline at your consultation so you can schedule around it.

The treatment is intensive, so we apply topical numbing and use comfort measures throughout, and our clinical team monitors you closely. Most guests tolerate it well knowing the results that follow.

Once the initial healing settles over the first one to two weeks, skin looks smoother and more refined, and it continues to improve as collagen remodels over the following weeks and months.

Not every skin type is a candidate for deep resurfacing. We assess your skin carefully at your consultation and will recommend a safer alternative if the Deep Laser Peel is not right for you.
